Who is this
Jesus that was born to Mary and Joseph so long ago? Was He just a man, a good
prophet, a radical teacher that came only to stir up trouble among the
religious rulers of the day?
No indeed! He was the long awaited Messiah (John 4:25). It is a shame that
many of the people of that day failed to recognize His presence. He was and still
is the Savior of the world (1 John 4:14). He came to earth as man, but in
reality, He was God in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). How amazing to think Our God
walked among the people of the earth (Matthew 2:1). He lived a sinless life and
died, by our standards, a very young man (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Does the story stop with His death. No! God’s word tells us the grave
could not hold Him (John 11:25)! Wow! What a Savior we serve! As you place this
gift somewhere within your house, remember that He came to earth as a baby
(Matthew 22-24). He proclaimed whom He was…God’s only begotten Son (1 John
5:20). He shared salvation’s message while He was here (John 14:6). He was
despised by the religious leaders of the day and He died a shameful,
undeserving death on the cross (Matthew 12:14, Matthew 27:1) . He rose after
three days to fulfill scripture (John 20:11-18).
He ascended into heaven and He sits at the right hand of the Father,
making intercession for us (Romans 8:34) . We serve the only living God who
loves us so much He took our sin and shame to the cross and died so that we
might live a redeemed life (Galatians 3:13)! Praise Him!
Merry Christmas To All…Have A Blessed Holiday!
